It Fits!

You know that part on Cinderella, the one where the wicked step sisters are trying on the glass slipper, and Drusilla says," It fits!" And in the background you hear, "It fits?" Yeah, those words have been echoing in my brain all day.

So, I tried the dress on last night and made Dear help me zip it up. It seems the reason I couldn't zip it up was not cause it was too small, but the zipper had a snag.

Dear broke the little zipper handle but was able to zip it up anyway. YES!!!! And I could breathe. Yeah!!!

So, my Darling sister will have me as a bridesmaid after all. All I need is the cute little shrug Miss Em bought me to go over the dress. Oh and the perfect strappy shoes too. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and do you know where I can get one of these hats? I need one in black or would that be too much? Maybe like a nice ivory color? What do you think Elena, Faith? You guys want one too? We could be all match-y, match-y! I just know Miss Em would LOVE it!

My Opinion

We have been taught that as long as we remember the Lord and live as we should our country will prosper and we will be blessed. I feel we have been given many warnings, we did well after 9/11. It seems we as a nation have forgotten the lessons from that time. We have forgotten God. If this nation elects Obama as our president it is only because those of us who remember the Lord have not been as loud and active as those who believe an animal has more rights than an unborn child. If we have allowed ourselves to be ruled by people who believe so differently than we believe, we have no one to blame but ourselves. We live in a world where not only the definition of marriage is at stake, our children are taught things we disagree with in schools our taxes pay for, when our media is so biased the truth becomes lost in translation and yet we watch every night shaking our heads quietly. Until those of us who believe these things are not right get up and stand for whats right and make enough noise to be heard, we can not expect CHANGE, just more of the same. It is no longer enough to stand quietly by. I for one want my voice to be heard, I want my children to know that I care enough to do something. Anything. I do not believe this is the end, I believe it is just the beginning.

That's What'cha Get!

Funny Story. Not too long ago I confessed that I pretend not know how to do anything so I don't get asked to teach anything for Enrichment Activities. The people in my Ward are convinced I'm helpless when it comes to homemaking matters. Yeah, well, unfortunately the people in the Second Ward were not given the memo. That's right, I'm teaching a class at their Super Saturday tomorrow. Pretty last minute. They must have been desperate. I know they were. They asked a friend of mine first. She was too busy. Sadly, I was not blessed with the ability to lie. (I suck at lying! So if you don't want to know the truth about something, don't ask me.) So, I couldn't come up with any reason I couldn't help them out. I just sat on the phone in total silence while my brain was in a tizzy trying to come up with some reason I couldn't do it. I got nothing! So, yep, me, scared to death of speaking in public, giving a class tomorrow. I should have just been honest and said, "I don't want to!"

UGH....

Early to bed, early to rise,

makes me happy, healthy, and wise!

Too late to bed, too early to rise,

too many Cokes, too many fries

and on my bed sick,

a foolish me lies.
(Who knew I was such a poet?)

The Worlds Shortest Personality Test

I saw this on The Purple Diva's page I decided to try it. I am afraid it was not even close, whatever. Try it and let me know. Maybe it will be more accurate for you.

You're quick minded, but you're also quick to lose your temper!

I decided to make Dear take this test too. I think it was right on for him.

Your Personality Profile

You are elegant, withdrawn, and brilliant.

Your mind is a weapon, able to solve any puzzle.

You are also great at poking holes in arguments and common beliefs.

For you, comfort and calm are very important.

You tend to thrive on your own and shrug off most affection.

You prefer to protect your emotions and stay strong.

I Confess...

I voted for Ron Paul in the Texas Republican Primaries.

I have a stash of chocolate in my closet.

I'm trying to lose weight, so I don't eat dinner.

I eat double at lunch.

I drank 5 cokes today.

I could go more than a month and not wear the same pair of shoes twice.

I don't like cats.

I love folding towels.

I go to Sam's so often they know my kids names.

I pretend I don't know how to do anything so they don't ask me to teach an enrichment class.

I am terrified of speaking in public.

I secretly hope hurricane Ike hits really hard so we get some rain here at the ranch.

I lead a very simple and not too interesting life.

(If you know me and are reading this you must love me, so don't judge! If you don't know me..judge away!)

Coke

So I'll just to give it to you straight I have a serious addiction to Coca-Cola. I love the stuff. It makes my life better. Some people take Prozac to get along in life. I drink a Coke. So I like my caffeine cold in the morning. I drink a coke with lunch everyday. On the hard days I drink a route 44 cherry-lime-Coke from Sonic. This makes me happy. Is it rotting my guts out? Probably. Can I give them up? Nope. I have tried. I have finally come to the realization that If I drink a Coke everyday, everyone in my life is happier. Why would I want to change that? I don't. Oh, and by the way, I can tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. Some will tell you there is no difference. I beg to differ.

Where in the world
