So I walk in the laundry room and I see this:

"Lala? Get out of the washer!"
Lala,"But Mommy, I'm rolling"

So she got a new Mermaid Barbie.
"Daddy do you like my new Barbie?"
Dear, "Yes Lala, I like her she's nice."
"Daddy, do you like her tail?"
Dear, "Yes Lala, I like her tail."
"Daddy, do you like her boobies?"
Honestly, I don't know what he said, I was laughing too hard.

Who'da thought?

Lala is a girl's girl. She walks around yelling, "girl power" with Muffy. Yesterday I was going to pick up Bubba and Muffy from school. I was running about 10 minutes late (as usual). I got the girls in the Burbie (my suburban) buckled up and ready to go. I got to the gate, I got out and opened the gate (automatic gate opener?), I drove through the gate, I got out and shut the gate. I got back in the car and Lala says, "Mommy I need to go potty really really bad!"

"Lala, can you wait a little bit?"

" No, mommy I need to go really bad" she says while squirming.

Okay so, this means she really isn't going to make it.

I whipped her out of her seat and pulled down her pants on the side of the road. She was not too happy. But when you gotta go, you gotta go. I buckled her back up and she says," Mommy I LOVE going potty on the road! You are my BEST friend Mommy!" I beamed.
So when your kid says, " I don't like you mommy, I wish you went to work and Daddy stayed home with me." All you have to do is let them potty on the road and they will think you are almost as cool as Daddy.

Movie Time

Lala and her friend switch houses every Monday for a couple of hours. These girls have played together for quite awhile. Long before Lala could talk. They play much better these days.
( don't mind the spot on the carpet, it's just where "someone" spilled water)

Thank goodness Baby fell asleep. She has had a rough morning. I should have figured when Dear took the kids this morning and I couldn't find her, it was going to be one of THOSE days. I finally found her outside, outside the fence. Then Lala was "cleaning" her in the shower. She "cleaned" her eyeballs with soap. Not so great.
Then Baby sprayed dry lubricant in her own face and got it in her eyes. Poor Baby, her eyes are not feeling too hot today.
I guess it's a good thing I'm not in the running for mother of the year this year. They tend to disqualify you if you have to call poison control more than twice in a week. Crazy kids. They talk about terrible two's. Yeah, Whatever. Baby starts Nursery in two weeks. YAY!!!!!

Typical

This is a typical conversation with Lala.
Me: Lala, go put on your crocs it's time to go.
Lala: My crocs?
Me: Yes, your crocs.
Lala: Not my church shoes?
Me: No, not your church shoes, your crocs.
Lala: My crocs aren't for church?
Me: No, your crocs aren't for church
Lala: My church shoes are for church, not my crocs?
Me: Yes, go now before I spank you.
Lala: Why will you spank me?
You get the idea.....
And no, I don't spank her. Ever. But, that doesn't mean she doesn't need it.

Overheard

So Lala was playing with her troll doll, (I know they are disgusting little creatures, but whatever.)and a My little Pony. This is what we hear from the hallway:
Troll Doll to My Little Pony," My name in Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!"
(I'm just saying, somebody likes the Princess Bride, I'm not saying who.)

The Last Day of the 2's!

Elena took this picture right before we sent Lala to bed. I got a little choked up, thinking about my sweet little girl being so big.
Lala, you are a light in our lives. It seems you grow and change so quickly these days. The 3rd year has been so fun. You are a great big sister. You are a fun and sweet little sister. I don't think it would be possible to love you more. Today for the first time you started asking, "Why?" Everything "why?" I thought yep, you're turning 3. You love to play catch. You throw the ball and if we miss you say, "Ah man!" Just like Swiper the fox. You love everything Dora, but when you are disappointed you slump your shoulders just like Curious George and walk away. You are too funny. If we compliment you you argue with us and you always ask if we get to keep any friends or family that might visit. Yesterday you were playing outside with your friend J., You were pushing your "baby" in your new stroller and yelling to J., " Come on Daddy hurry up!" Tomorrow when you wake up you will be 3. There will be lots of "Whys?", lots of tantrums, lots of juice boxes and fruit snacks. (You won't touch a piece of fruit to save your life.) There will be an insane amount of chicken nuggets. I look forward to all the wonderful and terrible days ahead. I look forward to watching you grow and change. You are beautiful. Inside and out. I am so lucky and proud to be your Mommy!
To my Darling Family and Friends:
If any of you have anything to add to this , something you love about Lala, please add it.
