So it seems....

My children are growing up.
My kitchen table will never be empty of clothes that need folding.
We have too many toys.
I can still beat my kids in a bike race.
Bubba can run faster than me.
Lala can say please after all.
I am not getting dressed today.
We aren't going to Mexico for Thanksgiving.
I have to make a Thanksgiving turkey all by myself.
A Thanksgiving banner is out of my league.
Baby is a bit sick.
My floors are slippery when clean.
Dear and I won't get a date this week.
It is simply impossible for Muffy to keep her room clean.
I don't know where she gets that.
So, Baby is now talking. She says tonk ooo= thank you.
Ah uh =I do.
Ah ah ah ah=Lala did something.
AAAAHHHHH=I'm hungry or thirsty.
Ah aha ah uh eeh= I want to brush my teeth.
Nonas=bananas
ba=bath
poo poo= well, you know
that's all I got for now. Hope you have a super day.

First Day of School

We started our early morning scripture study again this year. It is so great to hear how my kids have progressed. They are awesome readers. Afterwards Dear had to take Oz to get registered, so I didn't have a chance to get pictures of the first day of sixth grade.

Bubba and Muffy were so excited this morning. They got up early and got ready and then helped me get Lala and Baby ready too. I sure will miss all the help while they are at school.
Muffy was so embarrassed to have her mom trying to take pictures in front of all her friends. I finally told her I wasn't leaving until she looked at me. She decided I meant it.
Bubba's teacher is new this year. She seemed a no nonsense sort of lady. The bell hadn't even rung yet and she had the kids busy. I had to get this one from the door, it's not too cool having your mom kiss you in front of the other kids when you are in the fourth grade.
Lala was VERY sad. She cried all the way home. When we got home we cried together. I bribed her with Teddy Grahams and some Dora the Explorer.
Yesterday after church Baby got herself all dressed up. She did it by herself. I couldn't believe it. My Baby is growing up too quickly. She hardly had time to stop so I could get a picture of her getup. I'm afraid to blink these days. I'm afraid if I do I might be taking her to kindergarten.

Mighty Math Mind

Last night we went Bubba's third grade musical "Mighty Minds". He had a lead role and I am his mom but just let me say, he was the star of the show. Dear says he has a future in showbiz. I am so proud of him. We had some glittery number stickers to put on too, but they were accidentally left at home. He still looked really cute. He did a great job , he has some "sweet moves" for sure. This kid can sing.

The Circus

Yes, we went to the circus today. I guess if we had stayed home it still would have been like being at the circus. Bubba liked it, Lala slept through most of it, Baby loved it. She was so funny. Clapping, screaming, jumping, and when they brought out the lions and tigers I thought she would jump out of my lap she was so excited to see big kitties. Being the wonderful, together person I am, I forgot my camera. I was so sad. Our first circus experience as parents and I forgot the camera. Oh, well I will just have to store the memories away in my brain instead of my picture boxes.

Muffy had a great day with her Girl Scout troop. They had a prairie day, making butter, paper, rag dolls,quilts, and playing fun prairie games. So fun. Man, people go all out for this stuff. I spent this week making skirts, aprons, and bonnets. I am not by any means a seamstress. I can barely sew a straight line but they turned out all right. Some girls had fancy professional costumes. They all looked really cute and I think everyone had a great time.

Also this week I pretty much potty trained Lala. She was nakie most of the week but the last few days she has worn panties accident free. Yeah!!!! She even wakes up in the middle of the night to go potty. I am so proud of her. She has a pink step stool that she carries around with her everywhere. She is so proud of that thing . I am so proud of her.

This is a picture of the girls first big bath together. I cannot believe how big these kids are getting. They had a ball playing together and with their water babies. They laughed and splashed and made a huge mess. Good times.

On Hold

Do you ever feel like you spend a lot of time on hold? Seriously, I hate being left on hold. It seems like when you are on hold time stands still. Minutes become hours. A recorded voice comes on and lets you know all lines are busy, you are important, and we will be with you as soon as possible. Is there only one person working there or what? All right, I am done ranting. I have spent too much time on hold lately what can I say.
Last night I went to bed early. It was early for me. I left the dishes undone. I left folded laundry on the floor. Dear went to the store to buy milk for the kids to have with their breakfast. I was in bed when he came home. I was exhausted. I didn't watch my shows and I didn't care. I went to bed and this morning I woke up happy, relieved, not exhausted. I am going to have to work things out so I can get to bed earlier. Life is better with sleep.
After I pick up my kids from school I have to go to the Post Office. The Post Office is scary when you have a lot of kids. Especially when you have more than one thing to do there. You stand in line, there are 10 people in front of you. There are 2 cashiers, one is talking to her customer about her vacation plans. The other customer is complaining about how her mail man always leaves her mail box door open. Baby Darling is screeching. Lala is hanging off the counter like a monkey. Muffy and Bubba are hitting each other and dodging the others hits. Accidentally knocking into the person in front of me, who turns around and gives me the, "can't you control your kids look", I smile politely, and ask the kids to settle down. They don't. I ask again. They don't. I give them the, "If you don't settle down right now, you will be sorry" look. They settle down for a few seconds until something else sets them off. Yes, I love the Post Office. Good times. Honestly, I would rather be left on hold

Pink eye at the park

I took the kids to the park yesterday.
Baby Darling thinks her siblings are so fun.
She claps for everything!
It really was 80 degrees. Beautiful day.
This was yesterday morning.
I love pictures of trees!

So, yes I have pink eye, worse than any of my kids. I have never had it in my life. Funny that through all my years as a kid, it took having kids of my own to give it to me. They also gave me Strep throat. Nobody can ever say they are not the most giving children. I love and adore them.
I think I am on the mend though, the green goopy monster has been pooping less and less this morning. If only I could open them wide enough to actually see, that would be so great.
